The web has created thousands of communities where people start conversations about you and your brands. The opportunity for your organization is that you can now monitor discussion topics and become part of these conversations as they happen – allowing you to build stronger consumer relationships, gain insight into how consumers perceive your brand and proactively manage public relations.
White Noise is a DIY tool that lets you monitor the web and more importantly understand what is going on without the need for hiring outside companies to do the work for you.

Chef Michael Smith found out this morning that somebody was impersonating him on Twitter. MGD+Associates, the PR firm representing him for the launch of his new book contacted White Noise to immediately start monitoring his name online. White Noise helped MGD determine who were the most influential tweeters and bloggers so they could tell them what had happened and start spreading the news of the imposter. Immediately the tone of the conversation changed as people started rallying to Michael Smith's defence and expressing their outrage.
